Charity Run, 19 March 2011
A group of teachers and 5A pupils participated in a charity run on a Saturday morning. They had some reflections to share with us. Do check out the comments link:)
I enjoyed reading your Blog and found good information here. Charitable organizations at times take other charity organizations as partners for distributing charity funds to the target groups or also to get sponsored from bigger charity organizations for charity work and charity donation.
The charity walk we participated was fun.I enjoy what i am doing. When we were there,we waited for about a hour.First,we start by the guest of honour talking. After that,we do the warm up.Then,we do the walk.It was a long walk. After that,we wait for the lunch.the lunch was good.We also had our desserts. When we ate finish,we went back home.I think that it was right to that as we should help those who need our help. Some they don't even have lunch to eat.We should not waste food and money.
The Charity Walk was great!! I like the walk as it is fun and i enjoyed myself as Jing Shun and I say jokes like ( Doir change it to Door ) :p I like the performance too! The lunch that they give us was SOOOO bad but i ate it as i was SOOOO hungry.
I enjoyed the charity walk and I felt great to help those who are in need.We also received balloons from the volunteers there .Some of the boys purposely let the balloons flew away during the walk to compare whose went up to the top first.Though it was a long walk, I found it exhilarating as we could talk to our partners and teachers. The performance was pleasurable. When the dance was over, we gave them a thunderous applause to show our support. The journey is just awesome...
The charity walk was fun and we have ballons. The host said that we should hold the ballon while we are doing the walk. Some naughty boys from our class wanted to play and they let go their ballon to the sky.My ballon flew off but I was so lucky as it only flew to the ceiling of the place where we started the walk.Somebody climbed the chair and got it back for me. Before that,Xu Nuo gave me his ballon. He is very kind. I had a fruitful time and I hope that I can have more of this charity walk in the future.
The charity walk was very meaningful and fun. The walk was held at Orchard beside the SCAPE youth park. We welcomed the guest-of-honour and then she made a speech thanking us for participating in the walk. After the speech, the walk began. We walked from Orchard to Somerset. It's about more than 1km. Though the weather was very hot, we did not complain much. After returning to the booth, we had our lunch. Though the lunch was not very nice, I tried to eat as much as I can. As we were eating our lunch, the people with down syndrome gave us a performance. It was fabulous! After that we went home. I really enjoyed this trip very much.
The charity walk was meaningful as we help those who were in need. The volunteers gave us balloons before the walk. After the walk we felt tired and exhausted hence we started dinking gulps of water!!!!..........
The charity walk is a very long run ,but a very exciting performance done by the down syndrome. Also,we had a very delicious lunch which make me very hungry! It was really an enciting day for us!! (i use my brothers account)
The charity walk was fun as I got a chance to help those who needs more than we need. Before we start our run,we welcomed the guest-of-honour.Then,we need to be silent to remembered all the Japanese that have left us.The walk was very tiring. There were also snacks but we could not afford it as its too expensive.I really enjoyed myself on that particular day!
The charity walk was fun.Although,it is a very hot day when i was doing the charity walk, however,I am happy as i can help others that need more help than me By:joycely lam
The charity walk is a long but exciting walk.It is also very meaningful as we help those who are in need. After the walk,we are famished and tired. When I saw the food for lunch,it made my stomach growl. It was really a meaningful and exciting day for us.
I feel very happy to be able to help those people with down syndrome.I don't feel any tiring as i can chat with my friends whenever i feel boring.I hope our school can organise more of this activities for us!!And there is a few choices for our lunch, but the dessert is the same. The food is too much for me!! I can't even finish my lunch. We also got balloons, but i accidentally let loose of my balloon. :( The teachers there also bought a few cones of turkey ice-cream for us to share. ($5 each a cone),I didn't get a chance to taste it. :( But it was still a enjoyable and fruitful experience!!:D
I felt happy that I could help those who are in need, as I only need to walk to raise funds to help the people who need the money more than me.There were a few choices for lunch and I ate the noodles set. After lunch, we went back to school.I wish the school can oragnise more of these meaningful walk for us.
It was a meaningful event. we had to walk 1km from *SCAPE to a few ten meters after Takashimaya. I longed to taste the food for the whole walk. It was delicious!!! I even packed some some home for my parents to try!

It is fun to help people by just to walk some distance, but to me, the distance is too short. The food there was excellent! :)
